Curly Mesquite Santiago Rollerball

This rollerball is made from curly Mesquite harvested from Central Texas. The "curl" in the wood gives the grain an almost three dimensional effect. Mesquite is a very hard and dense wood that has a tendency to be more stable than many other woods. So what does this really mean? Mesquite is less prone to expansion and contraction due to temperature and humidity variations.
